Andreas Mietzsch
President
Andreas Mietzsch studied biology and communication sciences in Germany, receiving degrees in biology from the Technical University of Braunschweig and communication sciences and journalism from the University of Goettingen. Since 1986, he has been the Chief Executive Officer of Berlin-based BIOCOM AG, a leading company specialised in providing information for professionals in biotechnology and the life sciences. With more than 35 years of experience in the field, Andreas is a highly valued advisor and leading figure in the European biotechnology sector.
Margarita Milidakis
Editor
Margarita Milidakis is our link to our member journal European Biotechnology Magazine. She has been a member of the editorial board since 2022. Born in Patras/Greece, she holds a Master’s degree in Behavioural, Neuroscience and Cognitive Biology from the University of Vienna. Science communication is her great passion – and thus she fits perfectly into the EBNet team.
Lukas Bannert
Office Manager
Lukas Bannert is our Office Manager and as such the first contact person at the European Biotechnology Network. He is the youngest member of the team, but a real professional. Lukas is a media tradesman by profession and has gained job experience, among others, at Heise Publishers. He cares for our network members and is responsible for accounting and newsletters, for instance. And he is the friendly voice on the phone …
Michaela Reblin
Graphic Designer
Michaela Reblin is responsible for the visual appearance of EBNet. She originally studied typography and was responsible for the corporate design of several federal ministries in the further course of her career. She has now been in the media business for many years and has designed our member magazine European Biotechnology Magazine, our website and the European Biotechnology Guide.
Clément Robijns
Manager EU Projects
Clément Robijns, Belgian national, is an experienced communicator with an international background. After completing communication studies at the University of Liège, BE and at the University of Huelva, ES, he graduated with a MSc in Professional Communications at the University of Aberdeen, UK. Prior to joining our network in 2020 as EU Project Manager, Clément had started his career in communications at Brussels-based EuropaBio, the European association for biotech industries.
